Why do you need a target price?

A target price lets us know if we need to use a different process than originally planned. For example, if a target price is significantly less than what we can match, we will have to reach an agreement with the callers about what we are able to achieve. We have had prospects offer target pricing that demonstrates they are not clear about what processes go into producing the component they requested. We were then able to coach them through these details so that we can come to an understanding that leaves both parties satisfied.
